Your toddler carries a small basket of light items from one room to another, a real helping job that gives their urge to move things a clear purpose.
How to do it
- Fill a small light basket with a few soft or unbreakable items.
- Tell your toddler where the basket needs to go, pointing to the spot.
- Hand them the basket with both handles and let them carry it at their own pace.
- Walk alongside so you can steady them if they wobble.
- Thank them when the basket arrives and let them unload it if they want to.
