Pause inside the Flower Dome and make a tiny spoken or gestured story about one Lilytopia detail you each chose. It takes 2 to 4 minutes with no supplies after admission, and your child can join with a look, a word or simply listening.

How to do it

  1. Choose an unobstructed stopping place inside the Flower Dome after seeing part of Lilytopia, away from the pond and behind barriers.
  2. One grown-up stays beside one child, within arm's reach throughout.
  3. Each choose one detail from the visit that you'd like to keep. Share it in a word, a gesture or a sentence.
  4. Give your shared moment a little name together. No supplies or cleanup are needed; this is a pause during a visit that requires admission.

Make it yours

Ages 2 to 3: One look or point and one adult line are the whole ritual. Skip naming and retelling; stop after a brief shared pause. Ages 4 to 6: Each tell why you chose your detail, if wanted, and let the child title or retell your shared moment. Listen without testing memory or requiring full sentences. Non-speaking or seated participation: Respond to the detail the child looks towards, or offer two descriptions and accept their usual yes/no signal. No eye contact, pointing, standing or physical affection is required. A later family outing: Repeat the invitation to share one real detail from that outing. This Lilytopia version is anchored to the current display; do not imply the exhibition continues after its advertised dates.
