Joseph Telfer
Founder and CEO, TopSchool
About
Joseph Telfer built TopParent because he could not stop thinking about a small, ordinary problem. A parent at the end of a long day, a child with energy to spare, and a phone full of ideas that somehow made the moment harder instead of easier. He is the founder and CEO of TopSchool, the company behind TopParent, and this is the problem he keeps coming back to.
He writes here about the why underneath the product. Not the features, the beliefs. Why TopParent hands you one activity that fits this child and this moment rather than a hundred that fit no one. Why an afternoon at home deserves a kinder answer than another endless scroll. When he writes, he is really thinking out loud about how to build something that earns a place in your family without asking for more than you have to give.
He would rather be honest than tidy. If there is a hard trade-off, he will name it, because he thinks parents can tell when they are being sold to and deserve better than that. Every principle he shares here is one the whole team already holds itself to, tested against real families, including his own.
Mostly, he is here because he believes the people building for parents should stay close to parents. These pieces are one way of staying close, and of building this thing out in the open, with you.
