Taipei Astronomical Museum is located on Jihe Road in Shilin District, close to the Shilin area of northern Taipei. The museum covers astronomy, space science, and the universe through permanent galleries, a dome planetarium, and outdoor observation facilities. It is one of the few dedicated astronomy museums open to the public in Taiwan.

Dongshan River Water Park is a large public recreational area along the Dongshan River in Wujie Township, Yilan County. The park features water play areas, cycling paths, green lawns, and paddling facilities spread across the riverbanks. Families visiting Yilan often include it as a half-day or full-day outdoor stop.

Founded in 1908, it holds collections covering Taiwan's natural history, indigenous cultures, geology, and ecosystems. The museum occupies a landmark heritage building and offers permanent and rotating exhibitions across multiple galleries.
