The center hosts national and international trade fairs, public expos, and large outdoor and indoor events. Its scale accommodates events requiring significant space that central Hanoi venues cannot provide.

The area runs alongside the Han River and contains markets, restaurants, and pedestrian streets that are accessible on foot. The Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theater at 55B Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 1, presents Vietnamese water puppetry, a traditional performing art originating from the Red River Delta region. Performances take place on a water stage with puppets operated by hidden puppeteers, accompanied by live traditional music. The theater is one of the primary dedicated venues for this art form in Ho Chi Minh City.
